Everyone at Everton in the Community and Everton Football Club is deeply saddened to hear of the passing of its oldest participant, Tom Beevers, who passed away very peacefully on Saturday 31 December at his home with his family by his side.
105-year-old Evertonian Tom was a member of the charity’s Everton Veterans Hub programme and served with the 7th Armoured Division of the British Army - otherwise known as the renowned Desert Rats – in distinguished active service in North Africa during World War Two.
Tom became a participant with the charity in 2018 and quickly became a much-loved member of the Everton Family and will be sadly missed by all of his friends at Everton in the Community.
The thoughts of everyone associated with Everton in the Community and the Club are with Tom’s family at this sad time.
